How many trees?
How many trees?
Everyone is responsible for carbon emissions during the course of their lives but the amount varies depending on how you live and the choices you make.

Calculating your carbon footprint

It is impossible to accurately measure a carbon footprint, because almost everything has a carbon negative or positive associated with it.

Carbon ‘credit’ actions
Carbon ‘debit’ actions
Recycling
Local produce
Conservation / tree planting
Burning solid or liquid fuels (petrol, oil, coal, wood)
Electricity usage
Transport and air travel

Learn how to become carbon neutral

While we can approximate emissions based on certain easy to measure criteria, there is no formula detailed enough to track all of or carbon emissions and savings. Likewise, it is not possible to know exactly how much carbon is stored in the body of a tree.

What we encourage you to do is visualize all the petrol you burn, all the foreign products you consume, the garbage you toss and the plastic you encounter during your day and decide how many trees it would take to erase or offset this mass of carbon.
